Did you toss something in a trash can today? Is it the proper bin to dispose your trash?

Everyday in our lives as students, using solid wastes specifically “plastics” are inevitable. Every time we buy some snacks or lunch in school canteen, there’s always a plastic. It is difficult for us to get rid of it because we really need them. Using plastics and other solid wastes are okay, but we have to know our limitations of using it and how to dispose it properly.

Cleanlineshs is a project devised to orient students about the cleanliness of Nueva Ecija Senior High School while at the same time learning to have values and care of the environment. Cleanlineshs is an environment friendly project that also guide and inform the students the importance of proper segregation. It aims to establish a clean environment inside the school and to reduce the solid wastes.

As students we have to do our job and responsibility in our school. Our goal is to not just learn but also protect our environment. It is not easy to get rid of plastics but we can do something to lessen it. As a help, we should know the proper segregation and disposal of our waste. There are three trash bins provided in every corner of our school. The Biodegradable, non-biodegradable and recyclable, it is important for us to know the difference among the three, so that we can place our trashes in the right place. According to Rachna, C (2017) Biodegradable substances are those that degraded or break down naturally. Non-biodegradable substances are those that do not degrade easily. And for the record, recyclable materials are those that can be recycled or can be use again that is under non-Biodegradable materials. Not all non-biodegradeble are recyclable.

By doing some guidelines and following the proper disposal of solid waste, we can do something to help our environment. Let’s always remember that in success it always start in small things. Let’s all take actions to achieve our goal.
